Funny enough, we’re already daydreaming about summer, even though the holiday season starts for real next week, at least for us.

This week, we’re heading all the way down to the water’s edge! The theme in the Lenzeih Photo Association is BEACH, and we invite you to bring out everything that sparks that summer feeling, even if the weather might be a bit chilly.
With this theme, we get to play with warm tones, soft textures and natural elements. We’ll work with low, gentle light and props that capture the calm, soothing sensation of sand between your toes.
For this week’s setup, we’re using a backdrop made from light beige fabrics that imitate sand. Simple, yet wonderfully atmospheric!
But before we meet, a little question: What do you associate with the beach?
To help you get into the mood, I’ve put together 10 creative ideas you can use in your photos, whether you’re in front of or behind the camera:
🏖️ 10 things you can bring or use to enhance the beach theme:
• Straw hats or oversized sunglasses, creating beautiful shadows and classic summer vibes.
• Sarongs, light scarves or linen pieces that move gracefully in the wind.
• Shells, driftwood or pebbles, perfect as props or foreground elements.
• A vintage beach parasol for a nostalgic touch.
• Sunscreen or “wet look” spray to give the skin a healthy, sunlit glow.
• Towels in pastel or earthy tones, great for both styling and background use.
• A basket of fruit, think lemons, peaches or coconut to add color and a summery feel.
• A gold reflector for that soft, warm sunlight effect.
• Soap bubbles, surprisingly effective for adding a bit of magic in beachy light!
• A spray bottle of water to imitate sea mist and give a fresh, natural look.
As always, we want everyone to have the chance to be both model and photographer. This week, you can explore how you express “beach vibes,” while also working with light, airy movement and the small details that create a relaxed atmosphere.
Experiment! Try new techniques! Let yourselves be inspired by one another!
I can’t wait to see what you create this week, and remember to follow Lenzeih_forening on Instagram and TikTok.
Let’s pretend we’re travelling somewhere warm this week, as we slowly drift into the holiday season next week. 🌊✨
Love Ingrid
