This Week’s Theme: GALAXY ✨🌌

Updated: Nov 19

This week, we’re diving straight into the universe, literally! The theme at Lenzeih Photo Association is GALAXY, and we’re inviting you to bring anything and everything that fits the vibe.
We’ll be playing around with outfits and accessories inspired by galactic colors:
deep blues, neon purples, pinks, and shimmering silver.
Face decorations like stars, glitter, and creative cosmic patterns are more than welcome!
This week is all about being bold, letting go, and allowing the cosmos to take over.
Our background setup is made from simple aluminum foil, but trust me, the result is anything but boring. It creates a beautiful, futuristic, light-reflective backdrop. I’ll also be posting a quick tutorial on how I make it, so keep an eye on our social media!
You can find us under Lenzeih_forening. ✨
Before we meet, here’s something to think about:
What do you associate with the galaxy?

To help spark some ideas, here are 10 creative elements you can bring into your photos, whether you’re modeling or shooting behind the camera:

🌠 10 things you can bring or use to level up the galaxy theme:
  • Glowing props like LED wands, light strings, or neon rings for a futuristic glow.
  • Holographic clothing or fabrics, anything that shifts color or catches the light is perfect.
  • A fog machine or smoke sticks to create a dramatic, star-dusty atmosphere.
  • Mirror fragments or old CDs to reflect light and create star-like sparkles.
  • Glittery mesh, scarves, or veils, great for movement, styling, or dreamy effects.
  • UV makeup and blacklights for a unique, outer-space glow.
  • Crystals or glass objects, hold them in front of the lens for ethereal, otherworldly distortions.
  • A “space helmet”—real, improvised, or crafted from transparent materials.
  • Star-shaped confetti or glitter poppers for dynamic, action-packed shots.
  • Prisms or crystal spheres, use them in front of the lens to bend the light and create dreamy, cosmic visuals that look like tiny galaxies captured in glass.

As always, everyone is encouraged to step into both roles: model and photographer. This week is your chance to explore how you interpret the feeling of “galaxy,” while experimenting with lighting, composition, and creative effects behind the camera.
Experiment! Try new techniques! Inspire each other, and don’t be afraid to push past your comfort zone. Some of the most magical photos happen when you let go and just play.
I can’t wait to see what you come up with,
and don’t forget to follow Lenzeih_forening on Instagram and TikTok for the background tutorial and more inspiration.
Let’s make this week an explosion of creativity.
Ready for takeoff? 🚀✨

PS:
This whole theme made me think about a few things. For one, we’re floating on a planet in a galaxy with around 100–400 billion stars, and the universe itself may contain more than two trillion galaxies. Our Earth is moving through space at immense speed, about 30,000 km/h around the Sun, while our entire solar system is racing around the center of the galaxy at over 800,000 km/h. All of this is happening while we stand here trying to figure out who we are and what it all means.
So you might as well live life fully. Because when you truly zoom out, you realize that none of this means as much as you think. We are all just guests here. Borrowing time, searching for meaning, trying to leave a mark on a world that will one day forget our names. So why not live as if you were never meant to stay?
When you understand how small all of this is, how temporary, how fragile, something shifts. You stop performing for ghosts. You stop living for applause. You stop waiting for “someday.”
You start showing up now. You start loving deeper. You start taking chances, because failing simply means you tried.
Zoom out far enough, and you see that we’re floating on a spinning rock in an endless void. And yet you were chosen to feel, to create, to build connections. How incredible is that?
So yes, you might as well LIVE. Love like you mean it, speak the truth as long as you have breath, and choose courage in a world that’s constantly hiding what’s real.

Love Ingrid
