At Lenzeih Photography Association, our work extends beyond our primary focus on children and young people. Every now and then, an idea emerges from the intersection of two things we genuinely enjoy. This time, it was photography and play.
One of our ambitions has always been to create experiences for people of all ages. This week, we're doing exactly that.
We're putting together a special evening for women aged eighteen and above,
a social event built around creativity, teamwork, and a little friendly competition. Through a series of challenges spread across different stations, participants will work together, laugh together, and perhaps leave having met a few new faces along the way.
Somewhere in the planning process, we realized we had become a little like Mary Poppins famous bag: seemingly bottomless, filled with everything we could imagine someone might need for an unforgettable girls night out.
There is still time to sign up, and for this occasion we'll be gathering at Kultur L1 in the heart of Randaberg.
I've also received a few questions about the event, so here is a glimpse of what the evening will look like:
Participants will be divided into two teams and work together to complete a variety of challenges. We haven't focused on complicated brainteasers or difficult puzzles. The goal is simple: create something fun, social, and memorable.
Most of the challenges will remain a surprise until you arrive, but I'll reveal one of them.
We've called this challenge "Family."
Each team will choose from a collection of family photographs placed at the station and attempt to recreate them as accurately as possible. The objective is to reproduce as many photographs as possible before time runs out. The team with the highest number of successful recreations wins the challenge.
A backdrop will be provided at the station and used as the setting for your photographs. Each team will decide who will act as photographer, using their own phone to capture the images.
